ABG Pro DDx privacy policy
Effective 31 October 2026 · applies to ABG Pro DDx on Android and iOS
ABG Pro DDx doesn't send anything you enter to us, and we (GDA Software) don't collect your personal information. The only data that leaves your device is what Google's ad software collects to show ads, and you can turn ads off with a one-time purchase.
This policy covers the ABG Pro DDx app for Android and iOS, published by GDA Software (Gaurav Malhotra). ABG Pro, our paid app, has its own policy.
In short
- The blood gas values and other numbers you enter stay on your device.
- The app has no accounts and no sign-in, and we run no servers that receive your data.
- Unless you buy Remove Ads, the app shows ads from Google AdMob. Google's ad software collects some device information to show and measure those ads.
- Purchases are handled by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We never see your payment details.
Information that stays on your device
Everything you type into ABG Pro DDx is processed on your device and is never sent to us or anyone else.
- Values you enter: pH, pCO2, bicarbonate, sodium, chloride, albumin, glucose, BUN, serum osmolality, PaO2, FiO2, age and local pressure are used only to calculate results on your device.
- Your settings: the app saves your unit choice (conventional or SI), your normal bicarbonate and pCO2 ranges, acute or chronic setting, keyboard preference, a counter used to space out ads, and whether you've bought Remove Ads. These are stored only on your device.
- Connection check: the app checks on your device whether you're online, so it knows whether ads can load. Nothing is sent for this check.
This information stays on your device until you delete the app.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
Unless you buy Remove Ads, ABG Pro DDx shows full-screen ads from Google AdMob using the Google Mobile Ads SDK. Google, not GDA Software, collects and processes the data its ad software needs, and we don't receive it.
According to Google (Android, iOS), the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect:
- IP address: used to estimate your device's general location.
- Device identifiers: such as the Android advertising ID or app set ID, or another app- or developer-specific identifier on iOS.
- Ad and app interactions: such as app launches, taps, video views and ads you've seen.
- Diagnostic information: such as crash logs and app and SDK performance.
Google uses this data for advertising, ad measurement and analytics, and fraud prevention. It's encrypted in transit. To learn more, see how Google uses information from apps that use its services and Google's Privacy Policy.
On iOS, ABG Pro DDx doesn't ask for permission to track you across other companies' apps and websites (App Tracking Transparency). So Google doesn't receive your Apple advertising identifier (IDFA), and ads on iPhone aren't personalized using tracking across other apps.
Your choices
You can limit or stop ad data collection in three ways.
- Consent in Europe: if you're in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, Google's consent form appears the first time you open the app, so you can choose how your data is used for ads. To change your choice later, open Optional Values and tap Ad privacy settings.
- Your Android advertising ID: you can reset or delete it in your device's settings, usually under Google → Ads or Privacy → Ads. Apps and ad networks then can't use the old ID.
- Remove Ads: after you buy Remove Ads, the app stops showing ads and doesn't start Google's ad software at all.
In-app purchase
The Remove Ads purchase is processed entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store, and we never see your name, email or payment details.
The store tells the app that the purchase was made, and the app saves that on your device so ads stay off, even offline. If you reinstall the app or move to a new device, Restore purchase on the home screen asks the store to confirm it again. The store's own privacy policy covers how it handles your purchase: Google or Apple.
Children
ABG Pro DDx is made for healthcare professionals and students, and it isn't directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
Retention and security
We keep no copy of your data, so there is nothing for us to store, sell or delete.
- On your device: your settings and purchase status stay until you delete the app, which removes them.
- Ad data: Google keeps the data its ad software collects according to Google's Privacy Policy, and sends it encrypted.
- No sale: we don't sell your personal information, and we don't receive the data Google's ad software collects.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, we'll post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top.
