Heparin Dosing privacy policy
Effective 5 November 2026 · applies to Heparin Dosing on Android
Heparin Dosing doesn’t send anything you enter to us, and we (GDA Software) don’t collect your personal information. The only data that leaves your device is what Google’s ad software collects to show ads.
This policy covers the Heparin Dosing app for Android, published by GDA Software.
In short
- The weights, rates and lab results you enter stay on your device.
- The app has no accounts and no sign-in, and we run no servers that receive your data.
- The app is free and shows ads from Google AdMob. Google’s ad software collects some device information to show and measure those ads.
Information that stays on your device
Everything you type into Heparin Dosing is processed on your device and is never sent to us or anyone else.
- Values you enter: such as weight, the current infusion rate and aPTT or anti-Xa results, used only to calculate results on your device.
- Your settings and protocols: your rounding and unit choices and the protocols you create are saved only on your device.
This information stays on your device until you delete the app.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
Heparin Dosing shows ads from Google AdMob using the Google Mobile Ads SDK. Google, not GDA Software, collects and processes the data its ad software needs, and we don’t receive it.
According to Google, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect:
- IP address: used to estimate your device’s general location.
- Device identifiers: such as the Android advertising ID or app set ID.
- Ad and app interactions: such as app launches, taps, video views and ads you’ve seen.
- Diagnostic information: such as crash logs and app and SDK performance.
Google uses this data for advertising, ad measurement and analytics, and fraud prevention. It’s encrypted in transit. To learn more, see how Google uses information from apps that use its services and Google’s Privacy Policy.
Your choices
- Consent in Europe: if you’re in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, Google’s consent form appears the first time you open the app, so you can choose how your data is used for ads. To change your choice later, open Options and tap Ad privacy settings.
- Your Android advertising ID: you can reset or delete it in your device’s settings, usually under Google → Ads or Privacy → Ads. Apps and ad networks then can’t use the old ID.
Children
Heparin Dosing is made for healthcare professionals and students, and it isn’t directed to children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children.
Retention and security
We keep no copy of your data, so there is nothing for us to store, sell or delete.
- On your device: your settings and protocols stay until you delete the app, which removes them.
- Ad data: Google keeps the data its ad software collects according to Google’s Privacy Policy, and sends it encrypted.
- No sale: we don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t receive the data Google’s ad software collects.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, we’ll post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top.
